Fashion Show Flyer Released!
Our handwritten flyer dropped this past Thursday! Tickets will be released THIS THURSDAY on Eventbrite. We have limited seating, and have a feeling tickets will sell out very quickly, so mark your calendars! Turn on post notifications for our Instagram (@bylivhandmade) so that you won’t miss it.
Our “Reworked Runway” fashion show takes place Thursday, April 20th, from 7:00PM to 10:00PM at House of Yes in Brooklyn. The fellow designers include Mila Sullivan, Jrat Zero Waste, Meg Beck, Wyled Knits, and Cloudie Jobi! You’ll also notice we have dancers and choreographers, and musical performances. This is truly going to be an experience of a lifetime!
Immediately after the show, our storefront will become a huge pop up called “Shop the Show:” you’ll get to purchase any item that was on the runway, meet the designers, and enjoy wine and snacks with us. We are so excited about what we are creating and the people we get to work with <3
Shop Makeover
If you’ve popped into our Williamsburg storefront this week, you’ll notice a little remodel: Liv’s desk is now on the opposite side, and we have tons of new merchandise from independent artists and vintage treasures. If you have been with us for awhile, you know we love a little refresh. Take a look:
We recently discovered Morgan Nicole, a Connecticut-based artist and designer. We love their zero-waste tops and dresses, and are so delighted to have them stocked here in Williamsburg!
In prep for spring, we also stocked up on these nostalgic, adorable little bows. These are the perfect accessory for your hair or even to clip on a shirt strap <3
We also added this guest book to our store, so you can leave your mark when you visit. We’ve gotten several signatures already, and can’t wait to see yours. Drop in soon!
Tune of the Day
It was particularly difficult to choose which tune of the day was our favorite this week, so we recommend listening to all of them. However, in the spirit of our routine, here’s two options we think you might love: “I Saw the Light” by Todd Rundgren, and “Time to Pretend” by MGMT. Though very different, these two tracks are just essential.
This week we dealt with gathering and compiling a lot of information, and working on a lot of logistical planning, scheduling, etc. which is the not-so-fancy part of planning a fashion show, but super important in making sure everything is ran smoothly :) We are officially less than a month away, so things are really getting into high gear, but we are ready!
Hope you enjoyed this week’s recap. Talk next week!
Love,
The By Liv Handmade Team
